Madrid (EFE).- This Wednesday, the spokesperson for the Madrid Government, Miguel Ángel García Martín, reported that the Law on Higher Education, Universities and Science (Lesuc) will not be approved in its current form. The possibility of drafting a new law is not ruled out, focusing on creating a new funding model for public universities. This resolution comes after the announcement of the dismissal of the Minister of Education, Science and Universities, Emilio Viciana, whose management had been surrounded by controversy due to the process of drafting this law, which was already facing resistance from the university community.
