Madrid. This Tuesday, the Congress dismissed the bill presented by Vox that aimed to prohibit the use of the niqab and burka in public places. The initiative was rejected with 177 votes against it, coming from PSOE, Sumar, ERC, EH Bildu, PNV, Podemos, BNG, and Compromís, while 170 votes supported it, including Vox, the PP, and UPN.
