The Congress repeals the rise in pensions and the extension of the suspension of evictions.

This Tuesday, the Congress has annulled the ‘omnibus’ royal decree law that contained the revaluation of pensions, the extension of the suspension of evictions for vulnerable groups, and other measures such as the freezing of contributions for self-employed workers, thanks to the votes of the PP, Vox, Junts, and UPN. The Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, requested the parliamentary groups’ support for the decree, but all four parties voted against it. The provisions established in the regulation will cease to have effect once the voting results are published in the BOE. This will imply the cessation of tax aids for the purchase of electric vehicles and the removal of the restriction on the cutoff of supplies to vulnerable groups. The Government has made the payment of pensions for January with an increase of 2.7%. However, it will be necessary to approve new regulations to ensure that this increase is maintained in the coming months.
