Madrid. This Tuesday, the Plenary of the Constitutional Court decided to maintain the national arrest warrant affecting former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont. Legal sources have communicated that the court has denied the request made by the former president’s defence to annul the national arrest warrant, while the Constitutional Court decides on the appeal for protection that was filed against the high court’s resolution not to grant him amnesty. The Plenary has rejected a request submitted by former councillors Antoni Comín and Lluis Puig, who are also in an unknown location before Spanish justice.
