The demonstration organised by the agricultural association Unaspi in several locations across the country has begun with blockades in the province of Girona and en route to the port of Tarragona, according to the Directorate General of Traffic. On the AP-7, farmers have blocked this road in both directions between kilometre 29 and kilometre 40. Additionally, there are disruptions on this same route from kilometre 40 to 42 heading north and from kilometre 28 to 23.5 heading south. Traffic is blocked on the N-2 road from kilometre 744 to kilometre 737 in both directions, as well as in the province of Girona and on sections of the C-38 road heading to Coll D’Ares. Unaspi has organised protests and mobilisations with tractors for this Thursday and Friday at 9:00 in various locations across the country, aiming to request policies that do not harm agriculture and livestock, as they believe the agreement with Mercosur has that effect. In Tarragona, traffic is blocked on the T-11 road heading to its port. According to sources from the Catalan agrarian association Revolta Pagesa, the blockades on these two routes began at 3:00 AM this Thursday.
