The death of a woman in the ICU of the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba has raised the number of fatalities from the train accident that occurred in Adamuz on 18 January to 46, according to sources from the Junta de Andalucía. This is the first person to die in a hospital following the incident, as the other 45 victims lost their lives at the scene of the accident. With this death, 16 of the 126 injured individuals who have received medical attention following the disaster remain hospitalised in Córdoba, Huelva, Seville, and Málaga, two of whom are in intensive care units. This Friday, a hospital discharge was recorded, and one patient was released from the ICU.
