The Minister of Economy, Trade and Business, Carlos Cuerpo, has reported that the gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.7% in the last quarter of the year, representing an increase compared to the previous quarter. This growth is attributed to the performance of the labour market, which helps to maintain the stability of the economy. Cuerpo noted in the press conference that household spending will be the key factor for economic performance, driven by employment and the increase in purchasing power, in addition to business investment.
The Government forecasts an economic growth of 0.7% in the fourth quarter of the year.
