The leader of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has announced the new ‘Medrano Scholarships’, which will offer a monthly aid of 900 euros for undergraduate university students who wish to take a course at another university in Spain. Through the social platform X, Sánchez has announced the introduction of these grants, which are similar to the former ‘Séneca’ scholarships and are now being reintroduced under the name ‘Luisa Medrano’, in tribute to the first woman to hold a university chair in Spain in 1508 at the University of Salamanca.
