Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, declared that the Islamic Republic has no intention of engaging in negotiations with the United States, despite reports suggesting a possible opening for dialogue. «We will not negotiate with the United States,» Larijani expressed in a message on his X account. The message is a response to a post by Al Jazeera on X, which reports on an article from the Wall Street Journal regarding an alleged proposal by Larijani to resume negotiations with Washington. This statement comes after remarks from Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr al Busaidi, who stated that his Iranian counterpart, Abas Araqchi, had informed him of Tehran’s willingness to engage in «any serious effort that helps to curb escalation and restore stability,» according to the Omani news agency ONA.
