The International Energy Agency has expressed its willingness to release more oil reserves «if necessary», after announcing the release of 400 million barrels to mitigate the impact of the war in Iran, according to its director, Fatih Birol. «We still have many reserves available» and «we can do more if necessary,» Birol stated in a video message posted on the agency’s website regarding the coordinated release of crude oil by its member countries.
