The Israeli Supreme Court postpones the expulsion order for NGOs from Gaza and the West Bank, confirms Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

The Supreme Court of Israel has postponed the order for the expulsion of non-governmental organisations working in the Gaza Strip and in the occupied West Bank, after a directive was issued requiring that 37 NGOs leave the region by the end of December 2025, as confirmed by Médecins Sans Frontières. The media officer for MSF, Iván Muñoz García, communicated that the delay «is confirmed», although they do not have «an accurate assessment» of what will happen. The Supreme Court of Israel will review the requests to lift the restrictions on aid that have been imposed by the Israeli authorities, which were presented by the NGOs. Muñoz indicated that more information on this matter will be available in a few hours. Bushra Khalidi, who is in charge of policies at Oxfam Intermón, expressed her gratitude for the approval of their request. However, she emphasised that the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains severe and mentioned that they do not have information on the effect of the ruling. «When the court makes its final decision regarding the request made by Oxfam and other entities, we trust it will recognise the real danger it poses to the lives of the civilian population and will respect humanitarian principles and international law,» she added.
