The kings show the victims’ family members «the affection of the entire country.»

Madrid, 20 January (EFE) – This Tuesday, the kings expressed their «affection» towards the families of the victims and the injured from the train accident in Adamuz (Córdoba). In statements to the press outside the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba, Felipe VI stated that his visit to those affected aimed to «provide them support and care» with «the utmost respect» and the «intention of conveying the affection of the entire nation.» The king mentioned that it was an «impact» not only for those directly affected, but also «for Córdoba, Andalusia, Huelva, and everywhere,» so he wanted to express his «affection» and «solidarity» towards all of them. After his visit to the accident’s ground zero at noon, the king remarked that this was the most «personal and complicated» moment when speaking with the families of the victims and the injured, with the aim of «better understanding their situations and providing them support» in whatever they may need.
