In February, Social Security recorded an increase of 97,004 contributors, reaching a total of 21,670,636, while the number of unemployed has risen by 3,584, reaching 2,442,646 people without work. According to the information provided this Tuesday by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, in February, the education sector has driven employment with an increase of 30,142 contributors; followed by the hospitality sector, which added 22,932; and construction, which generated 17,478 new jobs. In the last year, 474,482 workers have entered the labour market, representing an increase of 2.24%. At the same time, the number of unemployed has decreased by 150,803, leaving a total of 2.44 million people without employment, the lowest figure for this month since 2008, according to the Ministry of Labour.
