The last inspection of the Iryo train that derailed in Adamuz took place four days ago.

Madrid (EFE).- The Iryo train that derailed yesterday in Adamuz had been inspected on 15 January and was manufactured in 2022, according to data provided by the company. OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: This afternoon, a derailment occurred on train 6189, which was covering the Málaga–Madrid route. The train had departed from Málaga at 18:40 and, at the time of the incident, there were around 300 passengers on board. Iryo stated in a press release that it is in contact with all the entities involved and expresses its gratitude for the response and resources that have been deployed since the outset. It indicates that it is available to the Commission investigating the accident and will cooperate by providing all requested information. Iryo’s CEO, Fabrizio Favara, visited the accident site last night to support the teams working at the location, while the president, Carlos Bertomeu, is heading to the area.
