The Mossos d’Esquadra have launched an investigation due to the chants heard at the RCDE Stadium in Cornellà-El Prat during the friendly football match between the teams of Spain and Egypt. At various points during the match, a section of the crowd began chanting the phrase “Muslim who doesn’t jump is”. During the halftime break, the message displayed on the stadium’s videoboard highlighted that the rules prohibit and penalise involvement in acts of violence, xenophobia, homophobia, or racism.
