Madrid (EFE).- This Saturday, thousands of people gathered in Spanish cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia to protest against the war in Iran. In Madrid, around 5,000 people assembled in front of the Museo Reina Sofía. During the demonstration, chants such as «No to war» and «Who decides here? The Iranian people» were heard, along with placards calling for «Peace.» This has been the most prominent demonstration demanding an end to the war in Iran, among those held in 150 cities, organised by the platform PararLaGuerra. In Barcelona, around 500 people attended the same call. In the Valencia Community, protests were organised in Valencia and Alicante, as well as in Alcoi and Crevillente. In Cantabria, a gathering took place in Santander, and in Asturias, demonstrations were held in nine localities. The Plaza do Toural in Santiago de Compostela was the site of the demonstration in the Galician capital, with support from other protests in various cities across the region. In the Region of Murcia, ten towns joined together to condemn the war in Iran, the attacks by the United States and Israel, and the regime of the ayatollahs. In Murcia, around 200 people gathered in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, with protests in other locations such as Los Alcázares, Águilas, Alhama de Murcia, Caravaca de la Cruz, Calasparra, Moratalla, and Molina de Segura.
