Madrid (EFE).- This Friday, Miguel Tellado, the general secretary of the PP, stated that his party will not support the decree law related to housing measures, one of the two approved in the extraordinary Council of Ministers today. Regarding the other decree concerning anti-crisis measures, they will assess it before making a decision on their vote. Tellado mentioned this during a press conference at the party’s headquarters, following the announcement by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, about the approval of the two decree laws at Moncloa. These must be ratified in Congress, although they will start to take effect from their publication. The second-in-command of the PP has described the housing decree law as «left-wing» due to its origins in Sumar. On the other hand, he noted that the «right-wing» decree incorporates proposals that the PP had already presented, addressing Sánchez by saying: «Welcome to the ‘fachosphere’.» He also indicated that Sánchez has been subject to blackmail from the ministers of Sumar and emphasised that «a president who truly deserved it would have dismissed them» due to the protest that delayed the start of the Council of Ministers meeting. Furthermore, he criticised the president for focusing on challenging Donald Trump and Javier Milei, while «Ernest Urtasun, Yolanda Díaz or Sira Rego» are overwhelming him.
The PP will not support the housing decree law and Podemos believes that the government’s measures are «ineffective.»
