José Ángel Antelo, president of Vox in Murcia, has decided not to resign from his position, stating that he has not committed «any significant error,» and has defended his continuation as a regional deputy while he considers his next moves. Antelo made these statements during an interview on OndaCero, following the resignation of the Provincial Executive Committee (CEP) of Vox in the Region of Murcia, which occurred due to a «disagreement» with his administration and aimed at relinquishing control of the party in the region to the national leadership. He commented that he spoke with the party’s leader, Santiago Abascal, who suggested the option of running as a candidate. However, he stated that he did not understand this to mean his resignation as provincial president. In his view, the decision to remove him lies with the national leadership, but resigning would imply accepting a responsibility that he is not willing to take on. He also expressed that he does not understand the reasons behind his supposed replacement, particularly at a time when, according to his statements, the party was increasing its electoral prospects in the Region of Murcia. «If I have made any mistake, let it be clarified,» he said, while defending his management and the growth that Vox has achieved in recent years. Congratulations to the leaders of Vox! They have not yet controlled the conflict they generated with Ortega Smith and are already harming another of the party’s candidates, @JA_Antelo in Murcia. It’s amazing!
