The price of housing hits a record in 2025, rising by 7.5%, and purchases grow by 4.4%.

In 2025, the cost of housing increased by 7.5%, surpassing the levels reached in 2007. At the same time, buying and selling transactions rose by 4.4%, recording the second best result in the history of these operations, according to the General Council of Notaries. By the end of 2025, the granting of mortgage loans for the purchase of homes increased by 13.7%. This increase occurs in an environment characterised by the scarcity of available properties in Spain, which cannot meet the rising demand, driving up prices and complicating access for young people and vulnerable groups.
