The Public Prosecutor’s Office of the National Court is considering the modification of the prison regime of the former ETA leader Garikoitz Aspiazu, known as Txeroki, who has the possibility of leaving prison from Monday to Friday, with the obligation to return to sleep, under Article 100.2 of the Prison Regulations. In its document submitted to the Central Court of Penitentiary Surveillance, the Prosecutor’s Office supports the decision of the Basque Government, highlights Txeroki’s participation in restorative justice workshops and certifies his commitment to assist victims of terrorism in their recovery processes.
