Caracas (EFE).- At the start of the new legislature of the Parliament of Venezuela, the son of President Nicolás Maduro stated that his father and mother, Cilia Flores, have been «kidnapped.» He also expressed his «full support» for the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, who has been appointed by the Supreme Court as the interim president of the country. «My name, along with that of my father and the first lady, has been included in the same accusation under which they were kidnapped. My family and I are targets because we cannot be bought,» declared Maduro Guerra during the inauguration of the legislature of the Parliament of Venezuela. The legislator commented that «perhaps they have kidnapped Nicolás and Cilia, but they have not been able to kidnap the conscience of a people who have chosen to be free. To you, Delcy Eloína, I offer my support in the work that lies ahead.»
