The Spanish government celebrates the release in Venezuela of prisoners falsely accused of being from the CNI.

The head of the Ministry of Defence, Margarita Robles, has expressed her satisfaction with the release of political prisoners in Venezuela, highlighting José María Basoa and Andrés Martínez Adasme, who were detained for allegedly being part of the National Intelligence Centre and for attempting to carry out an attack against Nicolás Maduro. The minister emphasised that this is a false accusation in her statements to the press during her visit to the Transport Group No. 1 of the Army: «Firstly, because they do not belong to the CNI, and secondly, because the CNI is never involved in conspiring against governments.»
