Madrid (EFE). Today, all of Spain, except for the Canary Islands and the Basque Country, is on alert due to adverse weather conditions. Winds of up to 90 kilometres per hour are being recorded, as well as rain, waves, avalanches, snowfall, and thawing. Fifteen autonomous communities are under warning, of which six have an orange alert level and the others are at yellow level. The rains have caused the collapse of two buildings in Ponferrada and in Segovia, with no injuries reported. In Galicia, 800 incidents related to rain and wind have been recorded, mainly flooding and falling branches and stones on the roads. The following communities are under an orange alert: Andalucía, for rain and bad weather at sea, and Castilla y León, for rain. Castilla-La Mancha is under an orange alert due to wind, as well as for rain and snow, while Extremadura is under yellow alert for rain and wind. Galicia is on alert for maritime storm and is at yellow for rain, and the Region of Murcia is under alert for bad sea conditions and is yellow for wind. The communities added to this yellow level are Aragón, Asturias, Balearic Islands, Valencia Community, and Ceuta. The storm has impacted 50 roads, according to data from the DGT.
The storm causes the collapse of two buildings in Ponferrada and Segovia without injuries, and 800 incidents in Galicia.
