The storm weakens in the Canary Islands after a night of heavy rain and snow.

Storm Therese has impacted the Canary Islands over the past week and has diminished in strength this Wednesday in Tenerife and Gran Canaria. However, Gran Canaria remains in a state of emergency following rains that caused landslides, water flows, fallen branches and flooding, with snowfall recorded on Mount Teide. As a result, the Government of the Canary Islands declared a state of emergency in Tenerife and Gran Canaria and requested assistance from the Military Emergency Unit on both islands. A total of 42 incidents were reported, primarily in Tenerife, which included overflowing ravines, water accumulation, road issues, power failures, and landslides, with no injuries reported.
