The magistrate of the Supreme Court, Leopoldo Puente, has rejected the Senate’s request to allow the former Minister of Transport, José Luis Ábalos, to participate in the investigation committee related to the Koldo case. The judge issued an order determining that, due to the urgency of the request, the requested authorisation cannot be granted. However, he notes that the Senate could reapply for it with appropriate timing so that a preliminary hearing of the parties can take place.
