The supreme leader of Iran criticises the negotiating stance of the US and downplays Trump’s threats.

Tehran/Geneva (EFE).- This Tuesday, Iran’s leader, Ali Khamenei, expressed his dissatisfaction with the United States’ stance in discussions regarding Iran’s nuclear programme. He stated that the US President, Donald Trump, will not be able to dismantle the Islamic Republic. Khamenei criticised the United States for proposing to negotiate over its nuclear energy with an outcome that implies Iran will not possess it. He made these comments during a meeting in Tehran with representatives from the East Azerbaijan province. «If there are to be negotiations, determining the outcome in advance is a mistaken act,» he concluded.
