The U.S. claims that the new Iranian supreme leader is «injured» and «disfigured.»

Washington. The United States Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, declared that the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Jamenei, son of the late Ali Jamenei, is injured and likely disfigured due to the attacks that caused his father’s death at the beginning of the conflict initiated by Washington and Israel against Iran. Hegseth stated that the new leader lacks legitimacy and that, despite having killed protesters, he now speaks of unity. This refers to the protests that began late last year, just before the onset of the war between the United States and Israel against Iran, on 28 February. The head of the Pentagon asserted that Iran has cameras and recording devices. Furthermore, he mentioned that Jamenei feels fear and that many members of his family have died as a result of the attacks. In his first statement as the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Jamenei adopted a defiant tone, urged to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed, threatened US bases in the Middle East, and claimed that justice would be served for the blood of the martyrs.
