Kiev.- Ukraine’s negotiator, Rustem Umérov, described the meeting that took place on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi with representatives from the United States and Russia as «significant and fruitful» in the effort to advance towards a possible peace agreement. Umérov indicated that after the bilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi, the parties also met in a «working group format». The Ukrainian negotiating team consisted of several individuals, including the head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Budanov, the leader of the ruling party in Parliament, David Arajamia, and the deputy director of military intelligence, Vadim Skibitski. Representing the United States were negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as White House advisor Josh Gruenbaum, General Alex Grynkewich, and the US Secretary of the Army, Dan Driscoll, according to Umérov. The Russian delegation was composed of members from the military sector.
The Ukrainian negotiator describes the meeting in Abu Dhabi as «substantial and productive».
