The United Kingdom will organise a meeting with international leaders to assess measures to reopen Hormuz.

London (EFE).- On Wednesday, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, declared that the country will hold a meeting with leaders from around the world to discuss diplomatic and political options aimed at restoring freedom of navigation following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz due to the conflict in Iran. During a press conference at Downing Street, the leader of the Labour Party announced that the Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, will be in charge of this meeting, which will take place at the end of the week, although the date was not specified, in order to ensure the protection of ships and to restart the transport of essential goods. He warned that the repercussions of the conflict in Iran will affect the future of the United Kingdom, although he also mentioned that we are equipped to face it.
