The United States announces that it has attacked several ISIS targets in Syria.

Washington.- Between 27 January and 2 February, the United States conducted five attacks on targets of the Islamic State group in Syria, according to the United States Central Command. Centcom forces identified and eliminated an Islamic State communications centre, a logistics node, and weapons warehouses, using munitions dropped from aircraft, helicopters, and drones. According to a Centcom statement, these attacks were carried out while allied forces applied military pressure to ensure the defeat of the terrorist network. United States forces and their allies initiated Operation Hawkeye Strike in response to an Islamic State attack in Palmyra on 13 December, in which two soldiers from the Iowa National Guard and an American interpreter were killed.
