The US and Israel defend at the UN an attack that Iran describes as a «war crime.»

The United Nations (EFE) – On Saturday, the United States argued before the UN Security Council that the attacks on Iran aim to prevent the country from becoming a global threat with nuclear weapons. The Iranian ambassador described this action as a war crime. The mission is intended to dismantle missile capabilities, weaken naval resources, disrupt the supply of weaponry to proxy militias, and ensure that the Iranian regime cannot threaten the world with a nuclear weapon, stated the US ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz. Amir-Saeid Iravani, the representative of Iran, asserted that Iran will continue to exercise its right to self-defence until the aggression ceases. The Security Council has the responsibility to intervene and put an end to this aggression. The United States declared that the attacks are justified actions due to Iran’s pursuit of developing missile capabilities and its refusal to abandon its nuclear ambitions. The Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, highlighted that the world is not afraid of a free Iran, but of an extremist regime, and stated that Israel has taken measures to prevent a threat. The diplomat also mentioned that ballistic missiles aimed at Israel cannot be overlooked.
