The Valencian Superior Court of Justice dismisses the complaint against the judge of Catarroja and her husband.

The Civil and Penal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community has decided not to admit the complaint for processing and has archived the report filed against the judge in Catarroja who is in charge of the case related to the management of the dana, as well as against her husband, who is also a judge. The Chamber determines that there is insufficient evidence to support the accusation of the offences mentioned in the document submitted by a lawyer and by four relatives of the victims of the tragedy, according to sources from the TSJCV. The Court qualifies as «doubtful» the document that includes two audio recordings submitted along with the complaint, in which the complainants accuse the judge’s husband of an alleged intervention in the interrogation and in the proposal of actions to two affected individuals. Furthermore, the Court considers the petition from the claimants regarding the «radical and original nullity» of the entire instruction to be «excessive» and adds that this position is «somewhat contradictory with the role that it claims to have» as a private prosecution.
