The work to restore the train service in Adamuz focuses on the adaptation of the platform, with the aim of installing the sleepers and the rail. According to sources from the Ministry of Transport, they are already working in Adamuz, concentrating on the platform and the rail. The high-speed service has been interrupted since an Iryo train derailed and collided with an Alvia train, an accident that resulted in the deaths of 46 people. Around twenty vehicles and approximately forty technicians from Adif are working on site. According to Minister Óscar Puente, their goal is to resume circulation towards Andalucía on Saturday the 7th, although he warned that this date is not definitive and that weather conditions could affect the timelines.
The work in Adamuz is now focused on the adaptation of the platform and the tracks.
