Thousands of protesters in the capital of Greenland reject Donald Trump’s attacks.

Nuuk (Greenland) (EFE).- This Saturday, thousands of people gathered in Nuuk to protest against the attempts by the President of the United States to buy or annex the territory, in one of the largest demonstrations in its history. The protesters carried the Greenlandic flag and chanted slogans against Trump’s threats. The arrival of the Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens Frederik Nielsen, was met with applause and the slogan » Kalaallit Nunaat, Kalaallit pigaat» (Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders), reflecting the unity among the population and political parties in this autonomous territory. After Nielsen, from the Demokraatit party, arrived, a poem was read and a minute of silence was observed, followed by the national anthem.
