The President of the USA, Donald Trump, accused Spain of being «a freeloader» for not committing to increase its defence spending to 5% of GDP. During the Davos Forum, he remarked that nearly all NATO allied countries have committed to increasing their defence spending, except for Spain, and expressed his desire to discuss this issue with the country.
