Trump accuses Spain of not cooperating «at all» in the war against Iran.

Washington. This Wednesday, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, accused Spain of «not collaborating» in the fight against Iran, expressed his dissatisfaction with the Spanish Government, and renewed his warnings about the possibility of disrupting trade with Madrid. «I believe they are not cooperating. I think they have acted negatively.» «It is possible that we will interrupt trade with Spain,» Trump stated when questioned about cooperation with the European country in the joint operation with Israel against the Islamic Republic. The president emphasised that Pedro Sánchez’s Government «has acted negatively towards NATO» by not allocating 5% of its GDP to defence spending, unlike the other members of the Atlantic Alliance. «They are safe, but they do not wish to contribute,» he added. «The people in Spain are wonderful, but the leadership is ineffective,» warned Trump, who last week criticised Spain for not allowing the use of the Rota and Morón bases for attacks against Iran.
