Washington. This Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the country would achieve its military goals in Iran in approximately «two or three weeks» and warned the Iranian regime of attacks that would take them back to the «Stone Age.» In his speech, he did not mention the possibility of deploying troops on the ground nor did he offer details after more than a month of conflict. The leader also declared that Iran was attempting to «rehabilitate its nuclear programme in a different location,» which led to the need to «eliminate that threat.» Furthermore, he mentioned that «the regime tried to restore its nuclear programme in a different place, evidencing that they did not intend to abandon their goal of acquiring nuclear weapons.» Trump also mentioned that they were accelerating the construction of conventional ballistic missile arsenals, and that they could soon possess missiles capable of reaching U.S. territory, Europe, and any part of the world. Trump asserted in his speech that «the possibility of these terrorists possessing a nuclear weapon would represent a threat,» while justifying Operation Epic Fury, carried out in collaboration with Israel, which has left the global economy on the brink of crisis after more than a month of tensions. According to Trump, Iran was on the «verge» of obtaining a nuclear weapon, which led to the decision to initiate bombings, which he stated would continue for an additional two to three weeks.
Trump claims that the war in Iran will be over in three weeks and that he is «close to finishing it.»
