Trump: Iran wants to negotiate but denies it for fear of «being killed by their own people.»

Washington. The US President, Donald Trump, has claimed that Iran is interested in reaching an agreement, but that its representatives reject it out of fear of «being killed by their own population» or «eliminated» by the United States. At the Republican National Committee dinner, Trump stated that the leaders of the Islamic Republic are seeking an agreement, but publicly conceal this because they fear being killed by their own population and are also afraid of being killed by the United States. Trump’s assertion comes after comments from Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchí, who indicated that exchanging messages with Washington through intermediaries does not imply negotiations with the United States.
