Los Ángeles (USA) This Wednesday, the President of the USA, Donald Trump, commented that a strategy for immigration actions could be adopted, after two American citizens died during protests against the raids in Minneapolis. The president mentioned in an interview with NBC News that aired this Wednesday: «I have learned that perhaps we can adopt a more conciliatory approach.» However, he also emphasised that it is important to maintain firmness. Furthermore, in the conversation with journalist Tom Llamas, Trump defended his immigration policy, asserting that his goal is to confront «dangerous criminals.» The White House received criticism, even from members of the Republican Party, following the shooting that resulted in the deaths of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti, two 37-year-old Americans. Pretti’s death on January 24 intensified accusations regarding the use of force by immigration agents.
Trump says that a «slightly softer» approach could be used in immigration operations in the US.
