The President of the United States, Donald Trump, reported that last week his country dismantled a facility as part of its fight against a drug trafficking network that, according to Washington, is run by Venezuela, although he did not clarify whether the attack took place in Venezuelan territory. «We just destroyed, I don’t know if you read or saw it.. They have a large facility from which the ships depart. Two nights ago, we took it out.» «Therefore, we dealt them a blow,» Trump asserted on Friday during an interview on a radio podcast. The president did not detail the nature of the facility, and his Administration has not commented on the strike. If confirmed, this would be the first ground attack in a drug enforcement operation that has taken place in international waters of the Caribbean. Trump made these comments during a conversation with Republican millionaire John Catsimatidis, while discussing US military actions against ships in the Caribbean to dismantle a drug trafficking network.
