Miami (EFE).- This Sunday, the U.S. Armed Forces eliminated six men in an attack on a boat in the Pacific, related to drug trafficking, according to U.S. Southern Command. Since the beginning of these operations in September 2025, at least 45 boats have been targeted. The assault took place during Operation Southern Lance, through which the United States has eliminated more than 150 individuals on these boats in the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, with the aim of combating drug trafficking in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, as well as increasing pressure on Venezuela. Southern Command stated that U.S. forces carried out an attack on a boat operated by groups classified as terrorists. Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was operating along drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific and was involved in drug trafficking activities. Six men linked to narco-terrorism lost their lives in this operation. «No U.S. military forces were affected,» SOUTHCOM stated on its social media. This attack comes after a previous operation that left three dead on February 23 in the Caribbean, also related to drug trafficking.
