United Kingdom summons 35 countries to a virtual meeting on Thursday about the Strait of Hormuz.

London, 1 April. The British Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, will lead a virtual meeting with 35 nations to discuss actions that facilitate the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, under Tehran’s control, once the conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran comes to an end. So far, Spain is not included among the 35 mentioned countries. Sources from the Foreign Ministry did not clarify whether Spain did not receive an invitation or if it chose not to participate. The meeting will include governments that signed a joint statement condemning the partial closure of a strategic passage through which 20% of maritime oil transportation occurs, including France, Germany, Chile, and the United Arab Emirates.
