Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, arrived at the golf resort owned by U.S. President Donald Trump in Turnberry to discuss a tariff agreement to prevent a trade war between the United States and the European Union. Von der Leyen attended the meeting with European Commissioner for Trade Maroš Šefčovič, General Director Sabine Weyand, and advisor Tomas Baert. Trump was accompanied by U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, among other officials, according to White House sources.
