The Qatari Ministry of Defence reported on an Iranian attack involving three missiles. Qatari armed forces intercepted two of them, while the third hit a QatarEnergy tanker in the country’s territorial waters. The vessel known as ‘Aqua 1’ was struck on the morning of Wednesday. Evacuation protocols were initiated and coordination with the authorities was established to manage the situation of the affected ship. QatarEnergy confirmed that none of the 21 crew members were injured and that the incident did not cause environmental damage. QatarEnergy stated that the occurrence will not impact its activities or the environment, and Qatari authorities continue to monitor the situation to ensure the safety of navigation in their territorial waters.
